Biography of Adrienne Borden
Adrienne Borden is a nationally board certified acupuncture physician practicing in Sarasota, Fl., since 1998. She graduated summa cum laude from the East West College of Oriental Medicine with a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbology, and Homeopathy. Adrienne was a teacher at the East West College for many years while maintaining a private practice. She later held a position on the professional clinic staff specializing in acupuncture face lifts. She now exclusively maintains her private practice in Sarasota, Florida.
Adrienne comes from a long line of healers and healthcare practitioners. Her grandfather, Charles Borden, graduated as an eye, ear, nose and throat doctor from Columbia University in 1895. Her father, Charles Borden, began a private hypnotherapy practice in Sarasota in 1974, and had an extremely successful career that spanned 30 years. In 1983, Adrienne’s brother Charles Jr. joined the practice, and through their group stop smoking seminars, the practice grew to be the largest in the world.
Adrienne’s sister, Gail is also a hypnotherapist and has now been in practice for 18 years. The sisters invented the Borden System in 2002, which is a synchronized combination of acupuncture and hypnosis.
Adrienne is a sought after speaker for the Foundation for Wellness Professionals, which is a national non- profit organization dedicated to educating the community about preventative healthcare.
Adrienne is a member of the Florida State Oriental Medical Association and the American Association of Oriental Medicine.
